This Bergerie is a restored eighteenth century barn which stands between vines and moorland on the Montagne de la Clape, the largest nature reserve in the Languedoc. With cliffs rising up to one side and views of sea inlets stretching back to the Pyrénées on the other, the setting is secluded and spectacular, but is minutes from beaches and the city of Narbonne and the convenience of its motorway, train station, shopping and sports centres. The house was rebuilt to serve as a home and studio for an artist. It is in pefect condition, large, comfortable and stylish. Over 510m2 there is room for fabulous reception rooms as well as 6/7 comfortable bedrooms, fireplaces you can stand up in and spectacular views outside. Being in a Protected Site the views will never be spoilt and there are glorious walks to restaurants, chapels and bird sanctuaries through the garrigue full of rosemary, thyme, cistus and rare orchids. The whole area has been a protected site since 1963 when the main reason was the prehistoric crickets and rare orchids to be found there.
