This compact yet comfortable house was completely rebuilt in 2008, using high quality local materials. The property offers the best of both worlds, as it is very close to a wide-range of local services, including supermarkets, newsagent, post office, restaurants, bars and cafes, yet sitting in a cul-de-sac it enjoys plenty of peace and quiet.
The village of San Nicolo d'Arcidano itself is located in a highly-fertile plain, producing a wide-range of fresh local produce, close to the main SS131 highway leading to Cagliari and Oristano, making the village an ideal base for a fly-drive holiday. The village is located at only 8 kilometres from the sea, making it also a wonderful base for exploring La Costa Verde, with its amazing expanses of sand dunes at the unspoilt resorts of Piscinas and Torre dei Corsari. Slightly further afield lie the transparent waters of the Sinis Peninsula, with beaches such as those at Is Arutas and La Mesa Longa which boast colours reminiscent of tropical seas.
The property boasts a courtyard of 40 sq. metres, partly given-over to landscaped gardens. Entering the property, the lounge/dining area contains an inbuilt kitchenette. The ground floor also contains a large bathroom with shower unit, bidet and w/c. A bedroom leads to a staircase, rising to another bedroom on the first floor.
The property contains several distinctive features typical of Sardinian properties: the floor is composed of tiles, which remain cool in the long Mediterranean summers. The ceilings boast excellent wooden timbers. The property had a new roof constructed only three years ago, the same year in which the plumbing and electrical wiring were installed. The house also contains an electrical air conditioning unit.
This property has excellent potential both as a permanent home and as a holiday residence.
