Situated on the south-west border of Umbria, Attigliano is a small medieval village nestled on the edge of the flat river bed which gives you wonderful panoramic views into the valley of Tevere. According to popular belief the name comes from the latin “ad tilium”, because of the large number of lime trees that cover the valley sides. DESCRIZIONE This old house which dates from 400’s has been restored as follows: The main living area: the old stable has been transformed into a beautiful triple lounge with two aspects. On one side there is a covered outside seating area for enjoying in the warm seasons. Next to the lounge there is a kitchen, a small living room, a bathroom and another kitchen which has been developed as a utility room. By an internal staircase you go up to the top floor where there are two bedrooms and another bathroom. Attached to the main house there is an ancient tower which has been made into an independent apartment on three floors: an open plan kitchen/dining area/lounge on the ground floor, a bedroom on the first floor and on the second floor a second bedroom with a bathroom and a small terrace. The whole property has a wonderful ambience due in part to the the beautiful fireplaces and old characteristic fires which are to be found in almost all the rooms. At the back of the house there are some outside stores and a boiler room and log store, and a large garden store for other garden items. The hectare of land is made up of a good sized garden, an olive grove and some woodland.
STATO E RIFINITURE The proptery was completely restored in 1988 and then again in 2001, and is in an excellent state of repair. The owners have conserved wherever possible the original features of the house and have created an enchanting and authentic home.
