    The Location:


    Chamrousse is situated in the Isere region, half an hour away from Grenoble. Located at an altitude of 1700 metres south of the splendid Belledonne mountain range, Chamrousse resort dominates the valley of Grenoble with penetrating views over the surrounding mountain ranges of the Oisan, the Vercors and Chartreuse. Chamrousse is divided into two resorts, linked by a regular bus service. There is ‘Recoin’ at Chamrousse 1650 and ‘Roche-Beranger’ in Chamrousse 1750 both of which have been the location for an ambitious regeneration program in the last few months. This includes the renovation of existing buildings and the development of new residences and facilities. On site facilities include shops and restaurants, the quality of which would usually be found in the bigger French alpine resorts. It has been tipped as one of the best places to invest in the French Alps as prices here are still very reasonable in comparison to the larger resorts. The combined skiing area has 77km of marked trails reserved for Alpine skiing and 40 km of cross country skiing trails in the forest plateau of Arselle.
