The castle was built on the foundations of the original castle of the Lords Dubé. The first mention dates to the year 1378 when the castle with a moat (the remains of the castle moat are still visible) took the royal army. The castle was broken and the restoration of the Gothic won between 1478 - 1536 one of the branches of the family Šternberk. In the second half of the 16th century there is a further extension of the building. At the beginning of 17 century is the late medieval castle with a lone extension and decay begins.
In 1667, while the building has already placed a large manor house, but in very bad condition. Subsequently, the corrected only the western part of the buildings and the castle was used by a religious order until the beginning of 19 century, when it purchased James Wimmer, and attached to the manor Tloskov.
Subsequently, the castle becomes the property of Prague's major industrialist, who is embarking on an entire reconstruction of the Gothic castle and park based around the castle. It was restored broken masonry and debris rose new palace, filling the moat and delivery technical additions to the house at the gate and the house manager. The park has many rare plants and trees planted. The present appearance of the lock corresponds to the last renovation.
On the basis of the Benes decrees and the chateau was confiscated shortly after the current owner, who owns the property up to date. It is true that the building has been used only for occasional events (filming)
