Krapinske Spa (thermal baths) are known for thermal spa situated in a peaceful and beautiful valley surrounded by pictures hills of Croatian Zagorje.                                                                          
In the literature, are known for the  hyperthermal springs since 1772. The same year was built the first bathing (bath Dubrava), and in 1808 bath "Rukavina." So, In 1862 Jakob Badel buys built baths and builds new (Jakob, Mary and grammar). It also builds a hotel, restoration and sanatorium. So Krapinske Spa for that time become fashionable health resort in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy generate significant tourism results.  1956. began the modern era of tourism, namely, the sanatorium  has established a hospital for rheumatic diseases and orthopedic rehabilitation, which is later evolved into the Special Hospital for Medical Rehabilitation.
Termal  water springs from four sources. The temperature of the springs is 39-41ºC,chemically characterize calcium, magnesium and carbonate. Water Krapina Spa was rated as the sixth best quality thermal waters of Europe.
Water proved to be particularly suitable for rheumatism, diseases of the spine, neuro-musculo problems, diabetes with joint complications, post-traumatic conditions before and after orthopedic, surgical and neurosurgical procedures on the musculoskeletal system of the body, heart disease and peripheral vascular disease, improving postinfarction and postoperative conditions .
Krapinske Spa is located 45 km north-west of Zagreb, at an altitude of 155 m.
The completion of a new complex of indoor pools (the largest in Croatia) is expected to fall in 2014 year. This will be the most modern indoor spa bath complex with saunas, a restaurant in Croatia. Bath complex will offer several outdoor pools with thermal water slides, a wave pool, a pool for diving, Olympic swimming pool, a large number of saunas. With complex, there are two "old" outdoor pools which are open from May 1 until the end of the summer. Water  of pools on the outside is completely changed every day, to give the greatest effect of the quality of the thermal water.
