Stara Novalja is a town in the northern part of the island of Pag in Croatia. Pag is the fifth-largest island of the Croatian coast and the one with the longest coastline.
Throughout its history, the economy of Pag has been connected to salt production, a traditional activity that has been practiced for more than a thousand years. The economy is olso based on tourism, sheep, fishing and viticulture. Stara Novalja is a private and quiet place just a 10 minutes pleasant drive from Novalja which is famous for beach Zrće where you can enjoy in a lots of modern sports and activities.It is famous for the remains of an ancient aqueduct, its rich underwater, amphorae, diving tourism, sandy beaches, olive groves, for its gastronomic specialties (lamb, fish, cheese and good wine). The largest beach in the bay of Novalja is a sandy beach "Trincel." Along the bay there is a small sandy beach. The climate is mild, Mediterranean. The swimming season begins in May and ends in October.
