| DESCRIPTION |
Dombovar is a small town with around 20.000 inhabitants situated halfway between Pecs and Lake Balaton. It takes about a one-hour drive to reach Pecs or Lake Balaton by car.
Train connections from Dombovar are excellent, there are five Intercity trains to Pecs and Budapest every day whereby it takes less than two hours to arrive at the Budapest Delipalyaudvar station.
Although small, Dombovar is a regional centre having all facilities like a hospital, doctors, dentists, schools, banks, car dealers and a library etc. Kaposvar, which is only 30 kilometres away offers further, more extensive, shopping facilities like for example a Tesco shopping mall.
Special facilities in Dombovar are the thermal baths of Gunaras situated on the outskirts of the town. The facilities are open all year around.
