All materials have been held to very high standards. The exterior of the villa is made of Trani stone (quarried in the south of Italy) and accented with antique-looking brick. All windows were custom-made locally with double-pane glass and extremely durable larchwood trim from Siberia. In addition, the windows on the ground floor are “anti shock”. All bedrooms and bathrooms in both structures have interior antique-style wooden shutters.
Both dwellings have city water with separate meters. The main villa has 3 zones of gas central heat and air conditioning, and the guest house has 2 such zones. In addition, a 1,000 liter (264 gallons) septic system serves the complex. Electricity is also metered separately. There is a stream on the property that can be used to irrigate the gardens.
This unique complex was designed by an Argentinean architect who has been with the project since its inception. Both structures meet or surpass the stringent anti-seismic construction standards in the area. The guest house is fully completed and ready for occupancy.
