The resort will be situated in Aksakovo municipality, which borders with 7 municipalities in Varna’s district – Beloslav, Devnya, Suvorovo, Valchi dol, Dobrich, Balchik and Varna. The climate there is temperate-continental.
The distance from Monte Verde resort to Varna’s international airport is only 25 km. During the summer season, there are charter flights to all bigger airports in Europe and Asia.
‘Hemus’ highway passes through Aksakovo municipality connecting Varna city with Sofia city. This well-established transport infrastructure provides Aksakovo Municipality with a permanent transport connection among the biggest seaside resorts and sightseeing on the North Black Sea coast – Golden Sands, Albena, Kranevo and Balchik.
The region is exclusively favourable for vine-growing. There are already planted vines surrounding part of Monte Verde’s resort and give additional vividness to the area.
Natural sights, monuments of culture and entertainment places in the vicinity of Monte Verde resort:
- 2 km. from General Kantardgievo village, where rural tourism is well developed;
- 5 km. from Albena seaside resort, 10 km. to Golden Sands resort, 20 km. to Varna city centre and 25 km. to Varna international airport
- the ‘Batova’ area being a forest massif gives incredible natural views. There are several rest-houses there. Every year in the same area, there are organized competitions in singing and dancing, which gather people from the whole district;
- natural park ‘Pobiti kamani’ – it is a protected area because of its incredible natural phonomena – the famous stone pillars. They are either hollow or thick, up to 10 m. high, in the form of cylinders, frustrum of a cone and others; as well as big stone blocks and lots of stone bits spread all over the park;
- the neighbour villages Dolishte, Oreshak, Kumanovo and General Kantardgievo develop hunting tourism.
