Koprivets is a small picturesque village located in Northern Bulgaria, between the towns of Byala (Ruse) and Popovo. The village offers the basic facilities, such as: post office, food shops, local market, local pub, church, police stations, bus services, etc.
There are a few lakes around the village. The largest one is Baniska Lake, and the Yantra river is only about 15 km away. The village also has the St. Petka monastery.
The village lies along the road connecting the capital city, Sofia, with Varna on the Black Sea coast (Sofia-Veliko Turnovo – Popovo – Shumen – Varna). Koprivets is 16 km away from Byala, 34 km from Popovo, 50 km from Rousse (and Svishtov), and 55 km from Veliko Turnovo.
