The house (140m2) has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom is spacious with an ensuite. The kitchen is open plan with a gas hob and an electric oven. The house has been relocated 3 years ago, so the foundations are new, as are the large decks, at the back and at the front of the house. The house and the roof have been re-painted this summer. Paint in the house and carpet are 2 years old. There is a large workshop (42m2), also new, which can be turned into a garage or a sleepout if desired, with carports on each side. The driveway entrance can accommodate numerous cars. We have a dual water system, rain and bore. There is a big vegetable garden, various flower gardens around the house, and a variety of young fruit trees. The soil is incredibly rich, so everything grows beautifully. Heating is provided by a wood stove and we have planted around 100 gum trees for firewood, which will be ready to cut in 4 years time. Water heating (Rinnai Infinity XR26) and kitchen hob are on LPG gas (2 cylinders outside the house), so no running out of hot water! The land is 1.3 ha (3 acres). One side of the property is bordered by beautiful old bush. The land consists mainly of paddocks (only one is fenced) so there is room for chickens, horse, sheep, or a cow or two. The rural community is friendly. There is an excellent primary school, just 2 min up the road, a college in Te Puke, 10 min away, and even a Steiner school, 20 min from us. Papamoa and Mt Maunganui beaches are 15 and 30 min away. |
