The castle is located at 21 km from Parma, a city in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, famous for its architecture and the fine countryside around it.
It dominates the medieval village of San Vitale Baganza, one of the nicest villages of the Baganza valley, at the bottom of the Pellero mount (400m). Dated back to 1400, the property consists of the more important of the two remaining towers and part of the main body. Developed in several floors, it has a surface of 1400 m2, including wine cellar, garage and stable. A beautiful gothic window, decorated with the escutcheon of the Rossi family, overlooks the Baganza River. On the opposite side, a window with elegant terracotta decoration overlooks an internal yard. A small garden accessible from the stable and from an internal yard completes the property.
The ground floor hosts the garage (2 vehicles), a beautiful wine cellar, the stable, 2 entrances, a big yard and a small room opening to the garden.
The first floor consists of an entrance room and a kitchen with a pizza oven built in the wall. The kitchen opens to a small yard and both rooms are located in the main body of the fortress. An attic above kitchen and entrance room completes the space available in the main body. Other 4 big rooms at the same level (two with vaulted ceilings) and one bathroom complete the first floor.
The upper floors of the tower consist of two apartments each of 4-5 rooms and one big attic in the top floor, with several windows overlooking the valley.
The property needs restoration.
