 What is a dream for most, could become a reality for you.
The Property is located in the Laurentian Mountains just 45-minutes north of Montreal, (50-km on the highway & 15km on a paved scenic country road).
The Island and Lakefront lot was purchased in the 70's, the cabin was built in 1974. The roof was renewed in 2005 with the new Enviro shakes. The Island is naturally landscaped, has a lovely sandy beach and huge beautiful bolders. About 1-acre of the Island is cleared and is a lawn, and two acres are forest with elevations and lovely old white pine, maple, hemlock and cedar trees. Great for a walk in the forest where one can find a sunny quite spot at any time of day. To watch the sunset from the western elevation is something special. What is also very different is that there are no-neighbours,its a special feeling. Privacy.
The cabin measures 523 sq.ft. and has an open concept. It has hardwood oak floors and has large BC fir beams, & cedar cathedral ceiling. Living area is divided by a 2" maple butcher block counter, kitchen is equipped with new appliances, dishwasher, stove and fridge.The house has a small bedroom off the kitchen area, an entrance hall and a closet with a full bathroom. There is also a bunk bed (with rope ladder) above the small bedroom.There is a wood burning fireplace in the living room, a large picture window and sliding door opening to the wrap around cedar deck that has a fantastic view over the lake to the mountains and through the Island.
There is a seperate cedar log sauna electrically heated (65 sq.ft.) It has two built- in berth's that can also be used as a bunk house to sleep two. Attached to the sauna is a generator house with a Yamaha Generator. Between the sauna and the cabin on a stone patio there is a built in Stainless steel gas BBQ. The power and telephone is supplied to the Island by underwater cable(are not visible).Water is supplied by a submerged pump from the lake.Hot water and water tank are under the cabin(crawl-space). Heating is electric with baseboard heaters. The Island has a septic tank, and septic fields.
There is a Jet float wharf connected to the sandy beach area that jets out about 30-feet, easy for tying up a 16-foot motor boat(also included) plus a small dinghy.
The Lake Front Lot is nicely situated and it has a great view over the lake and to the Island. It has a driveway down to the lake making it easy for parking cars, and to launch boats. The Electricity for the Island is connected on the lakefront lot transformer by underwater cable.
