There are thousands of kilometers of crystal clear waters that spring forth on the mountain tops, slipping down the cliffs forming waterfalls, flowing into plateaus and plains and fashioning lovely ponds and natural pools.

The splendor of the water is set off by the lush vegetation which blends species of cactus of the brush lands with rare examples of the mountain side plant life, especially bromeliads, orchids and strawflowers.

The three highest peaks of the entire state are located on the Chapada: This location also features the Glass waterfalls also referred to as “Smoke” which is 420 meters of free falling water as well as the Enchanted Pool, which thrills all visitors.
