Castelvecchio got its name from the impressing medieval castle , once belonging to the Earls of Carretto . It stands on a hill upon the village and from the roof terrace of this house , you can enjoy wonderful views over the hills , parts of the village and the castle .
The rustico has been restored with much love to details . Only best quality materials have been used . The house is totally built out of natural granit stones and looks very typical for this area . Walls are almost 1 m thick , ceilings are vaulted , all floors are tiled with typical cotto tiles .
A garden an terrace with barbecue area and Pizza oven surround the house , which has 2 very large roof terraces with georgeous views on top of the flat roof . All windows are double glazed in wooden frames and have wooden shutters .
There is a fully fitted kitchen with a cozy dining area next to it . The house has 3 double bedrooms and 1 single room , a little office , 2 living-rooms and 2 bathrooms . There is a garage inside of the house , which is almost a pity t o use for a car - it can easily be converted into an additional room . The total living-space of this 400 year old house is 250 m² ( about 2600 sq ft ) .The whole house is in excellent conditions and ready to move in . On the roof floor is the 2nd living-room with half round , big panorama windows and a window leading to the large terraces . The house stands on the outskirts of the village , yet in a short walking distance to shops , post - office and restaurants .
The village has 500 inhabitants and has been on TV and in book many times , because of its extraordinary beauty and historical value . If you are looking for a unique place in a special location , you will like this one ! This could also be a fantastic bed and breakfast! (Ru240) |
